众所周知，德国本就是制造业强国，在2011年提出工业4.0是要保持并提高自己的优势。这种优势体现在两个方面，一个是技术水平处在较高的水平，二是高效率的创新体系。而德国三分之二的研发开支由工业领域承担，贡献最大的包括汽车、机械工程。德国经济成功主要得益于其中小企业，德国的“隐形冠军”比其他国家多，因为他们通常精通于针对具体问题开发创新方案，具有世界一流水平。

As we all know, Germany is the manufacturing power house. The goal of Industry 4.0 which released in 2011 is to maintain and improve its own advantages. These advantages are reflected in two aspects, one is that the technical level is at a relatively high level, and another is an efficient innovation system. In Germany, two-thirds of the R&D expenditure is borne by the industrial sectors, with the largest contributions from fields including automotive and mechanical engineering. Germany's economic success is mainly attributed to its SMEs. Germany has more "hidden champions" than other countries, because they are usually proficient in developing innovative solutions to specific problems, and are world-class.
