“中国制造2025”规划明确提出“制造业是国民经济的主体，是科技创新的主战场，是立国之本，兴国之器，强国之基”。随着中国制造业的崛起与强大，中国钣金及制造行业也得以急速发展，变大变强。据统计，目前我国钣金加工行业现有企业数量超越3万家，从业人员超越180万，年消费钣金件超越4000万吨，销售总额超5000亿元。并形成了以深圳、苏州、沧州以及成都为中心的产业集群。成都政府在“成都制造2025”规划中明确指出，围绕国际化大都市建设目标，将成都打造成中西部制造业的领军城市，实现产业倍增，质量升级。

The Chengdu government made it clear in the "Made in Chengdu 2025" plan that, aiming of building international metropolis, Chengdu is established to be become a leading city in the manufacturing industry in the central and western regions to achieve industrial doubling and quality upgrading.

成都是中国西部地区制造业的中心，是中国西南地区的科技、商贸、金融中心和交通枢纽，是内陆开放的新高地。德国总理默克尔称赞成都，“这是一个高效、可持续的发展城市。”《福布斯》杂志将成都评为“未来十年发展最快的城市”。据审定，2018年一季度成都市实现地区生产总值3193.3亿元，其中第二产业实现增加值1392.4亿元，增长7.2%。截止2016年，成都地区世界500强已有278家落户成都。除了丰富的优质资源，成都还具备雄厚的工业基础以及技术水平，使其发展制造业具备了得天独厚的条件。

Forbes magazine named Chengdu "the fastest growing city in the next decade." It has been verified that in the first quarter of 2018, Chengdu achieved a GDP of 319.33 billion RMB, of which the secondary industry achieved an added value of 139.24 billion RMB, an increase of 7.2%. By2016, 278 of the world’s top 500 have settled in Chengdu. 长江经济带，从上海，经重庆延伸至成都。南丝绸之路，从成都经昆明延伸到缅甸、印度，北丝绸之路从西安经新疆、中亚延伸至欧洲。成都，无疑是“一带一路”的交汇点。

The Yangtze River Economic Belt extends from Shanghai to Chengdu via Chongqing. The Southern Silk Road extends from Chengdu via Kunming to Myanmar and India.
